I graduated with a Master of Laws degree from the University of Helsinki in 2020. Before becoming a lawyer, I worked as a teacher. This previous experience has given me a particular focus on child law, but I also handle other legal matters and provide legal advice. My principle is to approach cases in a client-centered manner, always considering the client's best interests. I want my clients to understand their position and situation, receive a realistic view of their case, and be able to make the best decisions for themselves.

Valmistuin oikeustieteen maisteriksi Helsingin yliopistosta 2020. Ennen valmistumistani juristiksi olen toiminut opettajana. Aikaisempi työni näkyy siten, että olen perehtynyt erityisesti lapsioikeuteen, mutta hoidan myös muita oikeudellisia asioita ja annan neuvontaa. I assist with residence permit issues, for example, when a family member needs a residence permit. There are different types of residence permits for studying, working, and entrepreneurship. Together, we will find the most suitable type of permit for you.

The first residence permit is usually applied for from a Finnish embassy abroad, but in certain situations, the application can be submitted in Finland. To obtain a residence permit, certain conditions must be met, and it is important to fill in the application carefully. If your application has deficiencies, it is advisable to seek professional help for drafting an explanation or filing an appeal.

My expertise in child law can also be beneficial in residence permit matters, as issues of residency and deportation can be influenced by parenthood and the best interests of the child.

I also assist with matters related to international protection.

If you are applying for Finnish citizenship, I help clarify the conditions related to applying for citizenship. We will also check if you meet any exceptional conditions that would allow you to obtain citizenship more quickly than the usual procedure.

I assist in situations related to the emergency placement and custody of children, as well as decisions concerning restrictions on contact.

I also assist with family law matters, such as child custody, maintenance, and visitation issues. Sometimes, relationships between parents become entangled, requiring an outside person to help untangle them. From the child’s perspective, the best solution is usually for the parents to reach an agreement.

Additionally, I draft documents such as estate inventories, powers of attorney, and wills, and provide advice. While documents can be easily drafted using various online tools, if you want to ensure your wishes are carried out in all their details, it is advisable to consult a lawyer.

Administrative Law Matters

In administrative matters, it is advisable to seek assistance already during the application phase or at the latest when the authorities request a statement or explanation. This way, you are more likely to present important perspectives for your case and ensure the legally correct procedure.

Disputes

Using an external advisor in disputes helps focus on issues relevant to resolving the dispute and facilitates reaching a settlement more quickly. Most disputes are resolved outside of court, which is the fastest and most cost-effective option for the parties involved. If necessary, I can also assist you in court proceedings. Examples of disputes include disagreements related to car sales, rental housing, and consumer issues.

Pricing

Billing is generally based on the time spent. The hourly rate is 313,75 euros per hour (including 25.5% VAT). The price of documents depends on the amount of work required, with a starting price of 313,75 euros (including 25.5% VAT). For specific cases, we can agree on a fixed price.

In legal proceedings, we first check if you have legal expense insurance and what it covers. You may also be eligible for public legal aid funded by the state. Legal aid is determined based on a person's income and assets and can cover part or all of the legal costs. I will determine on your behalf whether you are eligible for legal aid.
